Below is the name and personal statement of opposition to airport expansion of everyone who has signed the pledge.

People need to open their eyes and minds this may well be the New World Order. There is only one political party we can trust - The Green Party. Our government will always ignore us (None of us in Europe want GM food but governments put huge corporate terrorists first and support them they like money it makes good sense to them to receive donations, remember who the Biotech Industry are they have a dark past they were the ones who killed millions of innocent people in war camps in WWII and they have never been held accountable so if history repeats its self will we notice?) no matter how many of us protest if it was 40 million they would try to ignore us - so we have to make them listen and we have to get them out - we need to be part of the future we want! |

I lived for four years in a council in Loughborough Junction, London SW9 which was under the flight path of planes to Heathrow. Planes began to arrive from 4.30 *every* morning. If the clouds were low, I woke up. Weeks went by without me getting more than 5 hours sleep. I would not wish such torment on my worst enemy. (I was lucky eventually to be able to move away, it is economic housing and others are not and will not be so fortunate.) Airport expansion means increasing the misery for more people. |

| 287 | A few miles from an airport | I have long been appalled at the way that air travel has been allowed to proceed as much as it has, without any tax disincentives, with all the pollution that each flight contributes. To expand airports means that the air will be even more polluted, the areas for miles around airports will be destroyed and will become traffic polluters in themselves to accommodate people and goods being transported by air. We really should accept that the skies have reached saturation point and we cannot just keep on adding to it. |

Spend more money on more useful, less polluting, more pleasant public transport and developing more clean, renewable methods of fuelling transport. |
