All the changes made by individuals in reducing energy use will be totally ineffective if air traffic increases by the levels being forecasted at present.The proposals to expand airports & thus increasing air traffic make a complete mockery of all the government 'pledges' to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the UK. We are bequeathing to our children a country dominated by concrete runways, toxic air, noise pollution, and mammoth problems associated with climate change. We MUST stop this 'short-term profit' mentality, and start making some intelligent decisions which prioritise the well-being of the planet and future generations. ANY FURTHER AIRPORT EXPANSIONS WILL BE DISASTROUS- STOP AND THINK -PLEASE!! We have no right to continue desecrating our beautiful country. Why should the government and corporations have the power to put easier travel and economic growth as priorities- YOU DO NOT HAVE THAT RIGHT- the Earth does not BELONG to us- we have a DUTY to leave it in a healthy state to sustain future generations and diversity of life in all forms. I OPPOSE THE PROPOSED AIRPORT EXPANSIONS TOTALLY, & WILL TAKE ANY NON-VIOLENT ACTION I DEEM NECESSARY TO PREVENT THIS CRAZY IDEA. PLEASE SERIOUSLY RETHINK THIS PROPOSAL FROM A PLACE OF INNER WISDOM.
