No. Name Statement
2461 Kayleigh If airport expansion and thing of this sort continue to happen then there will be no need for airports in the future as we will have distroyed our planet and what is to see on it.
2460 LOUISE I object to the further expansion of the airport on grounds of environmental damage both local and global. I feel the reasons for expansion are mainly business and that we will rue them at our leisure.
2459 Avocet I live near Heathrow airport and have written to the government and BAA on a number of occasions opposing Terminal Five, Runway Three, the cessation of airnoise alternation, night flights, etc. I have been opposed to airport expansion for some years and am a seasoned campaigner. Anyone living under flight paths and around any airport can testify that it is not good for your health and for many the option to move does not exist. I would be happy to take personal action if required. I do feel however, that until there is an aviation fuel tax and the polluter is made to pay, our chances of success are very limited.
2458 lara lopez We already have too much air traffic,an expansion of an airport like Heathrow for example is terrible for residents, pollution(air and noise),wildlife amongst other things.I for one live in area where we seem to be on the flight path for what seems to be 75 % of the year and it's horrific. If i'd known this before i moved i wouldn't have moved here!
2457 Crotty I strongly object to any further expansion of Luton airport as we are already disturbed by plane noise and people's lives are made miserable by this so how will we cope if there is further expansion. Please think of the quality of people's lives and not the greedy people who want more money.
2456 Belle C I strongly agree with everything already said by previous signatories
2455 Paul Hinves We need to reduce air travel from current levels, not expand it. Taxing aviation fuel at a proper rate would obviate the demand for airport expansion.
2454 Bowny The cost of air travel should reflect the environmental cost.
2453 TD Until there is fuel tax on aircraft the air industry will continue to escalate. How can the government be signing up to conservation etc issues when the fuel tax is not made into a reality?
2452 chilepine This country has so much to offer with it's diverse natural environments. We can learn from "primitive tribes" who use only what they need so as to live in harmony with their surroundings. We have lost that wisdom and need to relearn it for the sake of the planet, using technology wisely instead of poisoning the planet.
